Limited Capacity seats available

Please join us for a colloquium reviewing and discussing results of the recent Augmented/Virtual Reality Residency held at Oregon Story Board. Participating artists will be attending via Skype or in person as schedule permits; the agenda includes both artist presentations as well as group discussion amongst all attendees.

The colloquium will combine a review of residents’ research and experimentation during the residency with discussion centered on topics such as: What does AR/VR allow artists to do that wasn’t possible before? Does the technology contribute positively, negatively, or neutrally to artistic practice? Are the technologies tools, mediums, subject matter or does it not matter? How does AR/VR expand and provoke artistic capabilities?

The objective of the colloquium is to share learning of the residents and organizers with a broader group, and to inject that group's experiences and questions into future iterations of the  residency. Results will be summarized in a short record of proceedings for public release a few weeks after the colloquium.

Attendance is limited to approximately 30 participants. You are not required to attend for the entire day.

If your ability to attend changes, please send a note to welcome@upforgallery.com.
